Redmi Powerbank Review :-

We will cover the following points. We have tried to answer as much as we can. However, if you still have some questions left then you can ask that in the comments section below.

  • Box Content
  • Design And Build Quality
  • Charging Input And Output
  • Extra Features

Box Content :-

The package looks like any other Xiaomi/Redmi product’s box. The very familiar orange and white design is nothing to talk about really. In the box you get a user manual guide, the power bank itself and a micro-USB cable. We were disappointed to see the absence of a type-C cable inside the box

Design And Build Quality :-

There are two color options – white and black. We went for the redmi powerbank white variant. It looks really sleek and minimal. It is made of hard plastic unlike the Mi Powerbank 2i which was made of metal. However, it still feels sturdy and gives a premium feeling. There are textured designs on the sides so that you can get a better grip and hold it better.

Charging Input And Output :-

It has 2 input ports – a type-C port and a micro-USB port. Both of them support 18W input. So, if you have a fast charger that can supply 18W charging then you can fast charge your redmi powerbank. One thing to notice is that the micro-USB port and the type-C port aren’t properly aligned. This is definitely a fault in the design. The Redmi Powerbank 20000 mah variant has 2 output ports and both of them individually support up to 18W charging. However, if you use both of the ports at the same time then it will give you a total of maximum 18W output. You should also know that you can charge both the powerbank and any other device through the redmi powerbank at the same time. However, we noticed that it makes the power bank a bit warm. Otherwise, we never faced overheating issues.

Other Features :-

There is a small button on the side of the power bank. It isn’t tactile but does the job. If you press it, you will be able to see how much battery juice is left on your power bank. There are four charging indicators that blink. If you double press the button then it will trigger slow-charging mode. This is an ideal mode to charge small accessories such as bluetooth earphones, fitness bands, redmi airdots etc.

Final Verdict – Should You Buy The Redmi Powerbank 20000 mAh?

We will be very honest with you guys – don’t go for the 10000 mAh variant. But the Mi 2i power bank instead if you don’t need a bigger capacity. But if you want to have a bigger one then surely the Redmi Powerbank should be your choice. We just missed the type-C cable. Apart from that, there are no complaints. This is surely the best 20000 mah power bank in India under Rs. 1,500 right now. You can buy it from Amazon.
