Redmi 8A Launched In India – Comes With Upgraded Specs
Just a few months ago the Redmi 7A was launched. It was priced at Rs. 5,999 in India and today Redmi India has officially launched the Redmi 8A here before anywhere else in the world. This is the latest offering from Xiaomi in the budget segment. Redmi 8A has some great upgrades over its predecessor.
Redmi 8A Specifications :-
The first big change is on the display. It has a 6.22-inch HD+ display with a water-drop notch on the top. The display is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It has a new Aura Wave Design which Xiaomi claims will improve its ergonomics. There is also p2i water repellent coating on the rear side. Like the 7A, its powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 OCta-Core Chipset. Redmi 8A supports Dual VOLTE and has a dedicated sd-Card slot.
It has a single 13-megapixels Sony IMX 363 sensor on the rear side which supports Dual-Pixel autofocus. On the front, it has an 8-megapixels sensor for selfies. Now the phone has a massive 5,000 mAh battery which supports 18W fast charging. Redmi 8A also has a USB Type-C port and Wireless FM Radio support.
Price And Availability :-
Redmi 8A will be available in Midnight Black, Sunset Red and Ocean Blue colour variants. The 2GB+32GB variant will be available for INR 6,499 and the 3GB+32GB variant will be available for INR 6,999 across Mi.com and Flipkart starting 29th September, 11:59 pm. Availability at Mi Homes will commence 30th September onwards, and will soon be available across all other offline stores.
