Modiji Launches UMANG App – Features And How To Use It
Since Narendra Modi became prime minister he has been constantly bringing more schemes to promote Digital India. Some of them are getting passed while some of them aren’t doing quite well. However it’s a very good initiative to make India more secure in the cyberspace and make people go ahead having a digital life. Recently he has launched the 5th Edition of UMANG app which is available on both Android, ISO, Windows.
What exactly is UMANG App?
UMANG stands for Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance. Clearly it’s created to make e-Governance easier. This app is developed by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The main goal to make this app is to help Indians for doing everything online in just one platform. Be it provident fund status or Gas bookig. Everything will be done through UMANG App.
How To Use UMANG App?
If you are an iOS user then you can check that on App store and if you are an Android User then simply click here to download UMANG app.
After you have downloaded UMANG app then simply register with your mobile number. You will be asked to fill up some details like your name, date of birth etc. However you can skip those steps. After registering you can access to all the services.
Top Features Of UMANG App?
First of all we really loved it’s simple material design. It isn’t messed up and the user interface is very neat and clean.
Right now this app provides 12 government services including agriculture, education, employment and skills, energy, finance, health, housing, police, public grievance, revenue, transport and utility. But it will add more services in future including payGov.
One of the features that we loved was PAN request. You can directly request for your PAN card through this app and also check you already applied PAN status.
You can also request for Bharat Gas LPG cylinder. For that you need to register to this App with that same mobile number.
With the help of UMANG App CBSE students can check their examination center and people can also check their JEE results.
It also has features like digiLocker which allows you to store all your certificates, adhar card, voter card info in a 1GB cloud storage.
