Honor Play Launched With Kirin 970 Chipset And A Notch
The Huawei sub-brand Honor has been releasing quite a new range of smartphones these days. They have devices like Honor 7C for Low-Range, Honor 9 Lite For Mid-range and also their latest flagship Honor 10. Now they are aiming to take over the new trend which is Gaming Smartphones. Today Honor launched their latest Gaming Smartphone, the Honor Play with Kirin 970 Processor at such an affordable price tag.
Gaming Smartphones are the new trend now and its quite sure that companies will soon start to produce more devices for that purpose. And after Xiaomi’s Blackshark and ASUS’s ROG smartphone now its Honor that launched their latest device Honor Play in China today. The interesting aspect of this device is it’s price. We know that Honor launches their devices in a very competitive price tag. The Honor Play follows the same path with such great specifications.
Honor Play Specifications :-
The Honor Play comes with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) display. Now like it or hate it , it has a notch. Now for the gaming purposes its powered by HiSillicon Kirin 970 along with Mali-G72 GPU and the built in NPU (neural processor unit). It should be noted that the same processor run the flagship Honor 10. The device comes in 2 variants. One has 4GB RAM and the other one has 6GB RAM. However both of these variants will house a 64GB Internal Storage which expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). Now Honor will use ‘4D’ gaming experience which will vibrate your device according the gaming situations. Also the device’s performance will be boosted while playing games.
Now Honor is a company which always focuses on their camera department. Well the Honor Play comes with a Dual-Camera setup on the rear side with AI capabilities. The primary camera is a 16 megapixels sensor with f/2.2 aperture and the secondary one is a 2 megapixels sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front it has 16 megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The phone houses a 3,750mAh battery with fast charging support. Honor Play comes with all the necessary sensors like accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor etc. The phones weighs 176 grams. Honor Play runs EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1.

Honor has done really competitive pricing this time. The base variant (4/64GB) costs CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 21,000) and the 6/64 GB variant is priced at CNY 2,399 (roughly Rs. 25,100). Honor Play is available in Black, Blue and Violet color options. The device is available for pre-order, and it will go on sale in China from June 11.
