Google Assistant Is Now Available For Older Smartphones Running Android Lollipop And Android Tablets
Google Assistant is the virtual assistant on the Android platform and Google’s main weapon to take on Apple’s Siri or Microsoft’s Cortana. It’s really powerful, can do a lot of tasks and it’s getting new features frequently. But not a very large number of people could use this until today when Google Assistant has finally started to roll out for older Smartphones running Android 5.0 Lollipop.
According to Google still more than 26 percent of all Android Devices run on Android 5.0 Lollipop. This version was launched back in 2014. Now those users don’t have to wait anymore because finally they will see an update pretty soon.
The Google Assistant will also be available for Android Tablets running Android 6.0 Marshmallow or Android 7.0 Nougat. The Assistant for Smartphones have already started to roll out in countries like UK, US, India, Brazil, Canada etc. It will be available for other countries within next week.

How To Enable Google Assistant On Android Lollipop :-
- Make sure that you device language is set to English(US)
- Update to the latest Google Play Services
- Perhaps you will need to install Google Assistant App from the PlayStore to launch it.
